Step 4: Creating a Recovery Request (IMPORTANT)
⚠️You have to do this every 2 days. If you forget, you risk your account getting taken back by the original owner. If you do not create a recovery request, your warranty will be revoked. No exceptions
Under "Settings" copy your Account ID and save it somewhere.

Click on your name (top right) and click "Sign Out"

Go to https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/wizards/w6?s=0 and click on Start Account Recovery. This will allow us to make a fake recovery request and it prevents the original owner from making one, blocking them out of their account.

Enter your personal email. Add 1 or 2 dots "." in the email as shown below. It does not matter where you put the dots at. It can be anywhere before the @ symbol. ✔️ [email protected] ❌ [email protected] ✔️ [email protected] ❌ [email protected] ✔️ [email protected] ❌ [email protected]

Copy the code sent to your personal email address.


Select Account ID and paste in your Account ID you saved earlier.

Click "No or not sure" and leave everything else blank.


Enter fake information and click "Continue".

Press "No or not sure" for everything.


Type out a couple sentences. For example I like using: "Hi today is my birthday and I was just wondering how I can link my ps5 I got today to my account. Please help me. Thanks"

When your request gets denied (it's supposed to), repeat the steps shown above.

After exactly 2 days (48 hours), you will receive this email:

When you see this email, repeat the steps above. Make sure to do it as soon as possible, your account is vulnerable at this time because there is not a pending request on your account anymore (which means it can get taken back!). But for now, you are finished securing your account!
